Do people realise that the console isn't forever 720p?

It's a few launch games which are 720p. Don't forget that generation will be at least 5 YEARS. Just because a few titles to start off with are 720 doesn't mean you should be getting this upset about it.

Look at the 360 titles when they came out and look at them now. Call of duty 3 (the first call of duty on the 360 for those here to young, not MW3) was 624p, and Perfect Dark Zero was 640p. Can you remember GUN as well?

Here's even an article on it

http://www.forbes.com/sites/insertcoin/2013/09/17/a-visual-reminder-of-how-far-xbox-360-games-have-come-in-eight-years/

It quotes "So just remember, whatever we see now, give it some time, and the games will be twice as good looking, even running on the exact same system. It’s a marathon process, and squabbling about what does or doesn’t look “game-changing” right at launch is a bit futile."

People need to relax and remember how it was 8 years ago and where we are now.

You just owned yourself. Black Ops was 604p, Modern Warfare 1-3 were all 600p and so was World at War. Call of Duty 3 had the highest resolution out them! So you just confirmed that if Ghosts is 720p on Xbox One then the next ones will be 624p or even lower. http://i.imgur.com/qWs3tuQ.png

And there are many many games now which are at 720p on the 360. My point was I was referring to games at the beginning of the generation and how they are now. Just because I said call of duty doesn't mean that's what I'm basing my whole topic on, which you seem to believe are the only games out there right now anyway.

If so many other games on the 360 can run at 720p and call of duty has been failing for 7 years, is that the consoles fault or the developers?

You say "console isn't forever 720p" and you are right with that because developers will sacrifice 720p and go down to 600p or even lower to have better graphics at a more stable framerate.
