ms cloud. activision doesnt let them use their servers. they use p2p. also activision in this instance is a publisher not a developer.

it suprises me on how many people don't understand that difference. ghosts is an IW game, not activision game.

they just partner with activision to make the cd's and distribute them for a cut.

http://www.gamespot.com/articles/call-of-duty-ghosts-will-get-dedicated-servers-on-pc-current-and-next-gen/1100-6415420/

"It had already been announced that the Xbox One version of the upcoming shooter would use Microsoft's 300,000 server Xbox Live Cloud to power dedicated servers"

"Now, as Infinity Ward chief Mark Rubin teased in an interview with Eurogamer in August, the PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Wii U and Xbox 360 versions will support dedicated servers, too"

HOWEVER

"Dedicated servers will be used on current gen, next gen and PC with Ghosts. And, in order to make sure that people have the best possible experience regardless of platform, location or connection, Ghosts will be using a hybrid system of dedicated servers and listen servers"

this means that ghosts on ps3, ps4, 360, and PC will be using a hybrid system of dedicated servers and p2p. This system was attempted with BF2 i believe, maybe BF3 and it sucked. it's a few dedicated servers but mainly all p2p.

IW must be using thei own small server farm to do this since Rubin was the one that confirmed it.
still nothing to do with Activision.

From your article

""Dedicated servers will be used on current gen, next gen and PC with Ghosts. And, in order to make sure that people have the best possible experience regardless of platform, location or connection, Ghosts will be using a hybrid system of dedicated servers and listen servers. So no matter where you are the game will always be trying to give you the best online performance possible."

So Xbox One version will be using the hybrid system as well.

If you read the top, x1 is using seperate servers. it is running off MS cloud system. the other games, including next gen wii u and ps4 will be on IW hybrid system.

x1 will be on 100% dedicated the rest on hybrid.

No, it doesn't say the Xbox One will use 100% dedicated servers, however it does say all NEXT GEN consoles will use a hybrid. There is only one other next generation console.

Just because it's using the servers doesn't mean it's 100%, that's just you assuming. All you can go on is what is written and that is next generation consoles will use a hybrid system.

No....you're wrong....again.

One..it doesnt say all. it just says it will be used on pc next gen and current gen. It's an ambiguous atatement.

Here is another article for you.

http://www.destructoid.com/cod-ghosts-dedicated-servers-aren-t-xbox-one-exclusive-263179.phtml

it basically says the same thing except it adds a quote from Rubin.

" If you're wondering about the lack of specific platforms there, Rubin went on to say that "[Infinity Ward] can't call out any other platforms by name"

this is in response to saying the ambiguous statement of next gen, current gen and pC.

the only 100% confirmed thing is that x1 WILL BE ON ITS OWN CLOUD DDICATED SERVERS.

it' wont use the hybrid system becasue that is what IW is using. MS doesnt use hybrid systems like that, they stated all developers for x1 would have access to 100% dedicated servers.

IW will have to add more servers and features.

"On a more positive note, he did say the team is "Hoping to add server browser and rent-able ranked server once we get through launch crunch"

Still nothing that says Xbone will not use Hybrid system.

Oh wait, let's take a look at this

""And, in order to make sure that people have the best possible experience regardless of platform, location or connection, Ghosts will be using a hybrid system of dedicated servers and listen servers. So no matter where you are the game will always be trying to give you the best online performance possible. There is also some great new tech in the matchmaking system that will place players in matches that have the best combined overall connectivity performance.""

Regardless of platform, Ghosts will use a hybrid system of dedicated servers and listen servers.

Until you show an article that clearly states Xbone One version does not use this hybrid system, don't bother responding with your dribble.
