Will current 12-month Xbox Live cards work with Xbox One?

I don't remember if Microsoft stated this or not, but could I go into a store and purchase a 12-month Xbox Live Gold subscription to have on hand for when I get my Xbox One console on November 22nd? Will the code work? Or are those cards strictly for Xbox 360 Xbox Live Gold membership and Microsoft will release another type of subscription card for us Xbox One gamers?

I kind of want to get on the jump of getting a subscription card now in case they are hard to find come November 22nd.

your gold carries over from the 360 to the Xbox One

I didn't have live for about 3 months, and just bought a $60 year sub a week ago. Your live transfers over from 360 to XBO, it's the same service. You can also have your XBO and 360 running at the same time with the same live gold account.

In other words, it's the same.

Okay, thanks. Just so you guys know though, I didn't have an Xbox 360 last gen as I was a PS3 only gamer. So my Xbox One profile will be brand spankin' new for me on my Xbox One. That shouldn't matter, right?
