So, 300k sales for xbox360 in the first month of it's launch, twice that for xbox means around 600k pre-orders?

That's not exactly good when ou know the ps4 hit 1 million a few months ago already

Xbox 360 only sold a measly 326,000 units for the month of November 2005 (launch). I can bet you that maybe no more than 3/4ths of that amount were all preorders (about 244,500 systems). So if you take Microsoft's 2-to-1 ratio, you get 489,000 Xbox One preorders total (not even half a million).

So, can anyone remind me which game system is doing better right now?

sales =/= presales

Let's activate logic.
Launch month = Nobember 2005, that means the items are sold at november ( even preesales)
got it?

.
not sure if serious
pre-sales does not equal sales figures. Pre-sales for something could be 10 million. But its irrelevant if only 250,000 actually get sold. Actual sales and pre-sales are two entirely different numbers.

Lol @ people forgetting 360 presales weren't fulfilled until May 2006

Also biggest hardware launch = >>> 8 million Kinects. WOW

That might just mean MS had manufacturing problems. Because they did.

"And production yields - the number of machines coming off the production lines that passed testing - were low. In August 2005, the machines' aggregate defect rate - from Microsoft's contract manufacturers Flextronics and Wistron, in their factories in China - was allegedly just 68%."

http://www.theguardian.com/technology/2008/nov/13/xbox-truth

"An anonymous Microsoft engineer reportedly insisted in August 2005 that Xbox 360 manufacturers shut down their lines in order to address yields that were an "abysmal" 68 percent (i.e., 68 out of 100 machines failed)."

That wasn't "OH BUT THE 360 WAS SO POPULAR!". This was the fact that more than 2/3 consoles made were defects.

Exactly. If if wasn't for people re-buying Xbox 360's due to RROD, & if not for the year head start, the PS3 would've been in 2nd place in worldwide sales way before November 2010 with Kinect.

But, like I've said before regarding the PS4, pre-orders don't mean crap, IMO.

And when PS4 outsells Xbone 3 to 1, what will you say then?

I feel sorry for people buying Xbox One, because they obviously like to spend money on inferior crap.
Even the Wii U has more value than Xbone and I don't think highly of that console either.

The wii u shouldnt even be considered a next gen console
