PSA: Offline Update for instructions for Xbox One available

It seems xbox.com has been updated with instructions to update the console using a USB stick offline, similar to the PS4. This is probably a good fallback method in case there is an issue taking the online update, your console gets into a bad state after the update, or you don't have internet when you get the console. Seems you can prep the update on a 2GB USB stick just in case:

I don't get why they just don't put it on the games themselves for the first 6 months. I'm sure they have enough space left over.

I would download about updates. There is no way to know which OS version your console will be.
I just finished both so I am ready.

I knew they'd do this. Dunno why they stopped letting you get updates via CD anymore on the 360

nothing says they won't. but games pressed on disc before the os is finished obviously aren't going to have it. but, hardware manufactured after nov22 might not need the update anyway.
