It's important to remember that we're paying for quality

The Wii U is sub $300, and already considered irrelevant by all core gamers. It will be a great gift for your pre-schooler, but there isn't anything beyond that. A toy with a gimmick.

The PS4 is obviously better than it. But look at its controller. It's like Frankenstein's monster. The design of the main hardware is odd and will not fit in with your entertainment set up. The initial price is $100 less. But the experience is riddled with hidden fees. I wonder how many people playing on their older PlayStation hardware are aware that when they upgrade, they will now have pay a price to play online?

And let's be honest. Remember 2011? Sony doesn't understand online. I'd rather pay for a service that is handled with competence-Xbox Live.

With the Xbox One, I have everything I need in one box in my living room. I can even hide other devices in cabinets and still access them via my new hardware. I can navigate through the menus seamlessly with my voice.

Can't wait to shoot you guys down in Halo 5 :)

Jump in.

I'd gladly pay more for "quality" multiplatform games, but X1 doesn't have that option. Why not? I feel like gamers expected better than this not even a couple months ago. PS4 doesn't have any games worth playing yet, and X1 games are visually and technically inferior. "Next-gen" doesn't feel like it's started yet.

Also, 6 Karma and an X1 reassurance post? Hope it's worth what they're paying you.

Bioshock Infinite, The Last of Us, and GTA V would like a word with you. While I agree thw Wii U isn't just for a preschooler to play with, they don't have all the best games. They do have great games. Zelda Wii U may change that, though/
