I've tried three different pairs of batteries, two of which were brand new out of a bubble pack, and my controller fried them. Quite literally, when I put my hand to the back of the controller, it was hot. I even burnt my fingers pulling the last pair out, and their casing was burnt.

Is anybody else experiencing this problem? And do you think a Charge and Play pack would be better, or a waste of money? I don't really want to blow $30 on something that may melt in my controller.

Does anybody that isn't a total f***ing mook have something to say on the subject? I'm not sure what to do.

Dude I would not buy a play and charge. I think your controller is messed up and all you would end up doing is being out $30. I would contact MS and just buy a new controller for now.

Away, I do believe you've been owned...

And TC, I'd call MS customer service ASAP. That's a potential lawsuit waiting to happen...

I'd invest in a new controller. Something is seriously wrong. Best to play it safe. The only heat my controller gets is the body heat from my hands.

what brand batteries are they?
alkaline?

may be voltage error on the batteries or the controller is drawing too much.

try a different brand, if problem persists, exchange controller?

You`re just a ball of sunshine, aren't you?

Anyways, if your story is true, you should do the obvious and call Microsoft.

man I would pop some new batteries in and let them get hot as HELL then "accidently" burn the hell out of your arm and take MS for a little ride on the "Settled for unspecified Damages" train.....
You know they call it main-stream? Its because a stream is shallow.
