Lol @ pathetic people trying to do damage control. So densely loyal to M$ that you're shooting yourselves in the foot by defending shoddy craftsmanship

If you knew me at all, you'd know I rarely defend MS and have been loudly voicing my extreme negative opinion of using AAs for their controllers. My post was less me defending MS and more calling BS on what looks to be a shoddy claim. If I'm going to criticize a company, I'm going to make sure those criticisms aren't flat-out false.

Enjoy having to buy a new DualShock 4 every two years

If they're still under warranty, they'll be replaced. If not, you can replace those batteries, with extreme ease, for about $5. And they'll most likely last much, much longer than 2 years.

My first DS3 still works like a charm.

An all digital future is readily available for PS4. If you wish to download your entire library digitally, you can and its without the anti-consumer bullcrap.

what brand batteries are they?
alkaline?

may be voltage error on the batteries or the controller is drawing too much.

try a different brand, if problem persists, exchange controller?

What his picture shows is a duracell. I don't know the type if whether it's an alkaline or lithium ion. I'm surprised your bone controller didn't explode on your hands tc XD.
