i know what would stop all these console shortages

but i doubt they would ever do something like this but it would be fair can anyone explain to me why it wont happen

: why dont ebay and amazon and most other major online sellers and auction sites FORBID the sale of brand new items on their sites untill that item is at least been in retail for 6months if it is something that cost over $150 ? in other words kill off the reselling for profit margins or at least do it for high demand items like consoles

Microsoft could get more consoles to people if they weren't so busy replacing all the faulty consoles.

Already in place for a lot of them, but people can just pre-order from different stores.
