Its not a rumor. The X1 has an HDMI-in slot, allowing you to plug in anything that outputs an HDMI signal (like your 360) and switch to it from the X1. So yes both are running.

However, from what I understand, this is not recommended, because the delay is very noticeable and lags significantly, especially during gameplay.

Why would it not work?
That's the whole reason for them to have a HDMI pass-through, to show a video signal from the HDMI In port.

Its just putting the video through the X1...you still have to use the 360 controller for playing the 360 and as others have said the input lag makes it far from an ideal setup.

Kotaku had a wii or wii u hooked up to it and was playing a zelda game on the xbox one dashboard so anything with HDMI works.

Actually, early leaked documents talked about two units, one normal console and one that you hooked up to the normal unit to get BC.
