"Revisiting the single-player campaign across a wider range of levels reveals that the gap between Xbox One and PS4 has widened since our preview - and it's not good news for the Microsoft platform."

"Hard evidence of the PS4's frame-rate lead for the retail release of Battlefield 4 - even with its 50 per cent increase in resolution it can typically command a 10fps+ advantage during our stress-tests."

IMO the true test of next gen is right here.. Screw old ports like AssCreed, or Ghosts.. BF has always been developed with high end pc rigs in mind.. So its only natural it would be the first real work out PS4 and X1 get, at least one thats multiplat..

Yeah, most of the releases that were compared, Ghosts, AC4, etc.. all got patches to improve the graphics/framerate.

It seems the developers gimp the game for the reviews and fix it for actual release in order to make the Xbone version seem almost equal

Ghosts comparison was running at 720P on PS4, caused the framedrops and the now its 1080P w/ no framedrops

AC4 was compared at 900p resolution, now a patch made it 1080P

Battlefield 4, etc, etc

So, long story short, the PS4 version remains the same. The XB1 version got the tweaks Dice said they'd do. The PS4 takes it with resolution and lower dips in frame rate within the campaign - both have the same dip in frame rate in multiplayer though - or, the PS4's advantage from the campaign aren't applied to multiplayer...

Right?

advantage across the board.. its just in MP conquest the PS4 cant keep the frame rate up like it does in SP.. Still a frame rate advantage

An all digital future is readily available for PS4. If you wish to download your entire library digitally, you can and its without the anti-consumer bullcrap.

What I got from the article is that the XB one & PS4 are very close, but that the PS4 version offers a slight better performance in terms of frame-rate.
But that they are still largely the same, and that a high-end PC is still the best version by far. (not surprising).

Already know PS4 is 50% more powerful than the X1. Don't get why people even argue when it is fact. PS4 will always run better with the same game.

And this sorta thing makes me sad, I don't have either system yet, but I'm gonna get both. Having trouble deciding on what system to get 3rd party games on. Either better resolution or a better controller.
