The media app achievements aren't worth any Gamerscore, and are just for fun. What's the issue?

At least some of them (like Twitch) try to get users to watch streams with less users to give support to smaller streamers.

clicked no, hovered over the submit button until I read "So earlier today I started up Amazon Instant Video for the first time and bam, achievement. Seriously, wtf."

Clicked yes. Seriously that's pathetic.

People were paying $100 dollars for a day one achievement on ebay. So sad and funny all in one.

Day One "achievement" says it all.

If achievements in games were actually all somewhat challenging to get the system would have some merit.

Roughly 9/10 are simple to "achieve" and require little effort. Often times they simply involve time spent playing, not playing ability. This can be through fetch quests, shooting pigeons, hours logged, or another assorted stupidity.

Let alone the plethora of people who have edited their profiles to cheat the system, which is piss easy to do. The same applies to PS4 trophies.

Great concept, horrible execution.

No one believes you have an Xbone, tc. You are well known for trolling the system, so you're either lying or a hypocrite. And no, no one will be impressed if you play the "I'm a real gamer and buy everything" card, since being a troll excludes you from being a "real gamer" automatically.
