Why are most Gamestops pro-PS4?

#3195_EclipsePosted 12/7/2013 1:24:58 AM
Because they are probably gamers. Gamers go for the PS4 because it's a gaming focused console, that runs games better than the XBO.

MS really tried to screw both gamers and gamestop, so they don't stand much of a chance in most gamestops. Either get over it, or go shop at walmart.

If you believe used games are the industries problem, then you sir or ma'am are a fool.

The only outspoken game stop employee I know is a total xbox fangirl...but not in store...

She's a good friend to myself and the wife though so we look past her silly fangirlisms

Just called my local GS minutes ago. The clerk said they're still sold out of PS4s, but still stocked on Xbones. He was like "sorry about that!" lol.

Microsoft wanted to kill Gamestop... by undermining used games sale

Microsoft and GameStop were going to cozy up together. It made the most sense financially for both of them. The number one used games retail chain becomes Microsoft's number one "authorized participating retailer." And Microsoft could influence price models on used games for their console, keeping things in line or close to their marketplace models. GameStop gets the business, and passes the buck to Microsoft when people complain.

My best friend managed EB Games and GameStop stores for almost ten years. He is still close friends with some of the district and regional managers he worked for. All of this was in the works but obviously the reveal and policies backlash killed it for now.

Gamestop was gonna go from having no boss in the used game market to having a boss. From keeping all profits to having to share with Microsoft AND publishers.

There was no cozying up, it was practically a hostile takeover of the used game market until gamers told MS to f*** off

Because, like most people on this board, they just want to sound smart by spreading lies.

I remember when GameStop told somebody near me that they should buy Call of Duty Elite because they would get exclusive access to special guns.

I love the employees at gamestop. I swear every time I go to mine they sit there and try and tell me about the latest POS game that they think is awesome.

I saved up enough money for both and purchased both on launch day, but if a gamestop employee ever told me I was making a bad decision I would laugh in his face. If an employee talked me out of my X1 or PS4 I wouldnt be an owner of two awesome consoles right now.
