Why is everybody acting like TitanFall will be a system seller?

ITP: Owning a PC means you can play Titanfall at settings that make it comparable to the X1 version.

Serious question, what is different about the Xbox One version? I know the guy said they couldn't make the game for x1 without teh cloud, but what does that even mean and why would my PC get a crummy version in comparison? I get that 360 has to be different but why would the most powerful platform get shafted?

"The Cloud" is a buzzword that doesn't mean much. The PC version of Titanfall will be the best one without question.

MS cloud tech will be supporting all 3 versions of the game. ..... could go into a long post about how cloud services make deployment across multiple platforms easier for devs but what is the point. Most people on gameFaQs don't know what this sort of tech is, and don't want to bother learning about it.

in response to the TC, no one knows how well this game will do. It is a new IP though so don't expect COD kind of sales. It could still be very successful though. Just have to wait and find out.

I understand to a point how the cloud will help devs, and that its MS' help that is making this game possible. My query is, assuming they are building this on X1 dev kits (PC) and MS are supplying the server support for all versions, regardless of what the dev fellow said about nice-ities etc. in what world could the x1 version be anything better than level with PC? If I'm misunderstanding something and you don't want to post a lengthy answer just pm me.

Your post seemed to imply that the PC version would not have "The Cloud" but would still be better because according to you "The Cloud is a buzzword that doesn't mean much." I was correcting that misconception of what cloud support meant for this game. If that is not what you meant then sorry, but that is certainly how it read.

As far as what version of the game will be better well as with every game if all things are equal the high end PC version will be. That is if all things are equal. Remember just because a game is developed on a PC does not mean it is targeted to PC users first. Sometimes games are originally made in a console SDK and then ported over poorly to play on PC. Hence why some AAA games are notorious for being buggy on PC. PC can also be trickier because there is no hardware standard like with consoles.

I don't know what platform the devs for titanfall originally targeted. Hopefully they do a good job with all their ports and there are little to no bugs.

On a side note I plan to play this on the X1. There are certain games I like to play at my computer desk and others I want to play in my living room.

No no, it was the other guy who said "its a buzzword" in response to me. If MS cloud tech is supporting all 3 versions you've completely cleared up my confusion. Thank you.
