To people who have the xbox one. How is the Kinect part of the system?

I don't have one but I did get to play around with it while spending the weekend at my brothers.
The kinect works pretty good and is responsive 90% of the time as long as you use the right phrases. Its great and has a lot of potential if you watch a lot of television and would like to use the snap feature in the future. I couldn't find the snap in skype feature but I bet that would be useful for those like my grandmother who likes to watch television while running up the cellphone bill at the same time. But as for gaming, it's just not worth it.

When it comes to gameplay most of the kinect functions are just gimmicks. They are so minor they don't add much or enhanced the overall experience.

If anyone has a decent windows 8 desktop. Picture that with a voice recognition program but gimped and has some of the basic functions behind a paywall.

Kinect works pretty well. Time will tell how useful it is. My console runs super quiet and after being on all day, I feel no heat to the touch at all, from the console or the power brick.
