Another resolution question

Is not the 720 res a big factor used while arguing against the xbox one?

So the system is capable then?

Wat? Forza 5 is 1080p. NFS Rivals is 1080p. Uh, what is your question again?

Nothing personal against you TC, but it really bothers me that this is even an issue. Sure, some games are in native-720/900p, but every game is upscaled through the console to 1080p.
So to answer your question, every game you play on your Xbone, you're SEEING it in 1080p; it's the behind the scenes stuff that people fight over. That said, there are plenty of games that are native 1080p.

And to ask whether or not the system is capable of 1080p at all... PS3 and 360 could display in 1080p, so it blows my mind that people think a newer, more powerful console can't...

Once again upscaling and native are two very different things

honestly no one cares what games your currently playing

It is 1000000% without a doubt able to do 1080p. All that is, is 19201080 noninterlaced. The people saying it can't do that do not understand the whole concept or are going for a reaction. There's really nothing more to debate as far as that is concerned.

Sure, but when people say things like "Xbox One can't even output 1080p!" you're allowed to say things like "Xbox One outputs all games in 1080p." Because when somebody is just regurgitating things without understanding them, that's about the depth of response they deserve.

Also, Xbox One's upscaler isn't great and a lot of things they had said - like UI rendering in 1080p and the rest being upscaled - just isn't true at all.

Between the trolls and the people who intentionally misinform it's exhausting to keep up with facts.

Take a little incentive yourself. If you don't understand this stuff, then it never mattered to before and it doesn't matter now.

Chose the system that has the games you like. The PS4 is more powerful, but unless you are looking at the games side by side, you're not going to notice. And even then, you may prefer the way the xbox games look or feel.

If you honestly cared, you would be playing multiplats on PC like I do, and play only exclusives on the consoles.
