Sold my Xbox 360, question about Xbox One and gamertag.

I know that if I were to purchase another Xbox 360 I could retrieve my gamertag and download all my previously purchased games. My question is, if I buy an Xbox One will I be able to do the same? Or would I have to re-purchase an Xbox 360 and an Xbox One and do a transfer? Thanks!

No purchased games on the 360 are downloadable on the Xbox one. You would have to buy another 360 to access and play them.

As for gamertag, it's as simple as signing in with it email and password and everything is there. Like your avatar, gamerscore, and friends etc.

Yeah, so consider your digital purchases very carefully this time around. No one knows if they will carry over to the Xbox Two gen.

They likely won't. Nothing carried over from the xbox to the 360, so why would they change that in the future? What I'm pissed about is they said movie/tv purchases WOULD carry over, yet not a single thing I BOUGHT shows up (over 100 items), just like 4 things I got for free. Not very amused by that.
