Xbox live requires 7 ports to be opened.
If your router has them blocked or you blocked them then simply open the ports.

This has nothing to do with the console. The issue is with your router.
Its like being mad at your car for the street being blocked.

Open the ports or forward them to ports that you choose.
Since youre likely under a NAT you will likely need to forward them

He's using more then one xbox at the same time, he can't forward them. And you don't need to forward ports 80 or 53. You should not forward those ports. And anybody that mentions port 2074 needs to get punched in the throat.

Then just open them.
Do a port scan, see which ones are blocked. Unblock them

I don't understand what you mean. Pretend you have a WRT54G router with this firmware and explain it:
http://www.dd-wrt.com/demo/

Or just regular Linksys firmware:

Take a feature from the 360, make it worse. The Xbone in a nutshell.

Ok if you would have read what I wrote; I clearly said there are 2 X1s on same router. When one is open other is strict and vice versa. I know it's my router. I need to buy a new one that can handle both. Next time read kid!!
