The whole 1080p issue is just a couple of launch titles, right?

I've seen a lot of memes/jokes/what I'm assuming are troll topics about the whole 1080/720p thing, and just wanted to confirm; isn't that just in Call of Duty or a few others?

I'm guessing the native dashboard resolution of the console is 1080, and I'm almost positive most of the games are as well (This is important to me, is Dead Rising?). The whole issue is just one or two games that people are trying to blow out of proportion, correct?

DR3 is 720p and 30fps(as opposed to the ideal 1080p 60fps). It's basically last gen when it comes to the resolution/framerate/graphics but man is it sweet to have that many zombies on-screen at once.

Most real next gen developed games (specifically for their console) will be optimized better than the launch titles. So yes, the 720p trolls will eventually need new material.

I doubt that the graphics are last gen for the kind of game it is. Don't think they could have made this game work on last gen with the same graphics.

I buy DLC. If that makes me a "sheep" then oh well. Don't like it? Oh well, get over it.

Is not if its 1080 or 60 fps, is the difference with the ps4 what matters, if ps4 is 1080p and 60 fps and reaches it barely, then xbox one will have less res, if ps4 struggles with 720 p and 30 fps, you get the idea.

In reality, the issue is just that the xbone is inferior to the ps4 in gaming. That's where this argument stems from and if it isn't 1080p, it's bound to become something else like frame rate.

In all honesty, I can forgive a drop in framerate to see that many onscreen foes. I still remeber back in the PS2 era with games like dynasty warriors where characters would simply despawn, etc. I've seen some really impressive DR screenshots of the player just being overwhelmed. It looks cool as can be.

The issue is that the Xbox One's architecture is new and developers need to get used to it. It's also less powerful than the PS4, but that shouldn't be a factor until late into both console's life. By then, developers should have figured out how to optimize well enough on the Xbox One to get 1080p consistently.

They can make games run in 1080p sacrificing graphical detail for it. It's one or the other.
