xbone(xbox one) took a fall of the worst.

My xbone(xbox one) died or something is heavily wrong with it. It won't turn on anymore and now Ryse is stuck in it. It's going to be Sunday so I should call Monday but then the holidays are here so I probably won't get it sent to them fast.

Am I screwed until next year?

Check all cables before panicking. Especially if you used a third party HDMI cable.

Third party HDMI cable wouldn't stop the system from turning on

This is exactly why you guys should wait about 6-8 months after release to purchase new release consoles. Don't gamble your money with defective hardware. It's like this in the beginning every time. Hopefully yours isn't anything major.

I wouldn't call it a gamble, as long as he has a receipt he will not lose his money. I bought a launch 360 and PS3, the PS3 died (60g Fat Chrome Baby) I did have it repaired. I've heard so much about RROD but I got lucky I guess. I did sell the 360, got about 3 years out of it then I sold it.

Get in there with some pliers and pull that game out and return the console from where you bought it.

If zero people bought it before then, nobody would own one. I get what you're saying, but it's illogical for everyone to do this.
