When will Microsoft make an adapter to use 360 headsets on Xbox One?

I want to buy a great headset, but I want to use it for both platforms because good headsets are over $100 and I don't want to have to spend that much twice.

You can buy one on ebay, for like $50, but doubt you want to spend that much. I know I don't.

I buy DLC. If that makes me a "sheep" then oh well. Don't like it? Oh well, get over it.

Why did Microsoft make all your old expensive headphones obsolete? Anyone know? I've tried to google it and can't find a single reason why that's good for the customer? Have they released any statements on this because I can't find anything. It's one of the reasons I returned my XBOX ONE.

I don't know, but it is a money grubbing thing in my opinion. I still like my Xbox's, but it's a massive inconvenience in this point in time.

Companies are out to make money, not ensure that their products are good for the consumer.

Look up planned obsolescence. It describes the practice of companies deliberately designing products in a way to be incompatible with older accessories, among other things.

Look at Apple for example... for years they used the same flat, 30-pin connector for all of their mobile devices... then once the market got flooded with cables, docking stations, clock radios, stereos with iPod connectors and they were no longer making money from the sale of accessories.... they change to the "Lightning" connector, effectively giving the finger to everyone who invested a bunch of money in stuff that now only works with older "iDevices".

They used a different standard to increase chat quality, which is why the port on the controller is different. They said something to this effect before.
