The TC's lack of subtlety must have extended to more than just this flopic.

He floods the board with stuff like this on occasion. No surprise there.

DDR3 is fine.

Ryse.

I'm not speaking with some deep benchmark testing knowledge of the ps4, but I doubt RAM is a real bottleneck issue in terms of clock speed. As RAM goes today, limited address space (not enough GBs of RAM) would be the biggest bottleneck because of paging in and out of primary memory to a secondary storage (HDD). Computers in general typically have their biggest bottleneck with optical media R/W and magnetic HDD R/W. That's why if you replace your computer's hard disk with a solid state drive you see such great performance gains.

Ryse looks great but even at 900p it has trouble keeping a steady 30fps. DDR5 would've helped, no question about it.

Because DDR3 is plenty fast, and will most definitely not be the bottleneck in this round of consoles. The DDR5 is overkill.

Lol, DDR3 works but R5 is not overkill.

I seriously doubt that. There were bigger problems there than hardware.

People, come on. DDR5 does not exist yet as far as I know, it's super, super advanced if it does.

GDDR5 is hugely different from DDR5.

I don't see Nintendo, Microsoft, Sony. I see Mario, Zelda, Uncharted, Resident Evil, Gears of War, Alan Wake, Heavy Rain, etc. Play games, not companies.

How about we don't argue semantics because you knew exactly what I meant anyway, LOL.

Meanwhile, at Area 51...
