I have a small living room (sitting less than 2 meters away from the TV) and I want to pick up a new TV. My current one is a 32" LCD Samsung. What would be the best option?

LED all the way. I recently purchased a 40" samsung led, 120hz and I love it. (Also 120hz is totally worth it too)

Personally I prefer plasma, as long as there isn't a ton of windows/reflections that may be distracting from the experience. The input lag on my model is also one of the lowest and I can definitely tell a difference between the experience on my livingroom Panasonic 50" 600hz vs my 42" Samsung LED 120hz in the bedroom, especially on more fast-paced online games such as Call of Duty or any other first-person shooter for that matter.

Regardless if you go with LED you cannot go wrong with Samsung. Likewise, I would go with no other than Panasonic for plasma.

I prefer my 55inch Samsung LED( 240hz) over my LCD or the plasma. Just my opinion though

What about AMOLED?

Plasma. Realer colors, does not shine like the sun in a dark room, better black levels, absolutely no "motion blur/soap opera". Instant response time from the TV. Panasonics are very high quality and very budgetable as well. Look at bestbuy reviews for the ST60.

My led has the lowest input lag of any large tv made in 2013 and it puts plasmas from the same year to shame when dealing with input lag. I prefer led for gaming, no IR, less banding, led are just the more gamer friendly tv.
