read this review on the sony w900a.

Aparently, its little brother, the 802a is even faster and is cheaper and probably available in the size you want (i think there is a 40")

Just a fyi In graphics mode the W9 input lag become 17.9 making it very close to the W8. The biggest difference between the two is the W9 has better color and better screen uniformity. Both are great and you cant go wrong with either, the W8 is great for a gamer on a budget

My LCD gets burn in. Burn in just isn't a problem Plasmas get.

You got that reversed buddy.

I have a plasma, and image retention may occur at times, but it goes away pretty quickly. But that picture... my goodness: deep creamy blacks, fast response time, etc. I cannot stand the look of LEDs or LCDs, but I can see why someone would want one if they have a bright room with lots of natural light.

I've gone from LCD to Plasma, and my family just got an LED. Plasma is still my overall favorite, ESPECIALLY FOR OLD GAMES.

Seriously, try playing old school Nintendo, Genesis, or N64 games on LCD or LED. They look horrible. Plasmas make it look how it's supposed to look.

The Sony W900A is the best gaming tv I have ever owned and the colors are on par with my 2012 Panasonic Plasma. If I had a tv just for movies I would go for a Plasma but when it comes to gaming nothing beats the W900A

I didn't say it right, I meant that although Plasmas are notorious for getting burn in, LCDs can get burn in too. I got a Polaroid LCD TV 42" in 2007 and within a year I could notice it getting images burned in from being on a still image to long. To this day the color is different on the edges of the tv from black bars. My guess is that I just got a crappy TV brand. Doubt a Samsung would have the same problems.
