Are you getting Tomb Raider? Also 720p already looking to be ancient history...

With the release of Tomb Raider coming up, who here plans on getting it? I still have never played it, but based on opinions from people here and friends, it sounds like its a great game.

I am picking it up on the X1 on launch day. I was originally thinking of getting it on the PS4 to bulk up that library a little bit, but its supposed to be identical looking on both. I have read in several different locations that both the X1 and PS4 will run this native 1080p.

Glad to see that it was only a few launch window games that were 720p and it looks like most, if not all, future launches are already shaping up to kill that whole argument. I honestly couldn't care less about any of that, but I know a lot of gamers put graphics first nowadays so I am glad for those people.

I expect all games to be 1080p by years end so no surprise there and yes I am getting it because I missed out on it last gen, can't wait.

Tomb raider is still a "port"

Its very easy for them to take the existing engine add some new affects and raise the resolution much like Black Flag on PS4.

The next BIG GAME is Titanfall which is currently running at 720p. We have to keep an eye on future games but as developers continue to up the eye candy they will have to make sacrifices in framerate and resolution to compensate.

this 720p vs 1080p is so over blown. Its not like the difference is all that noticeable or a deal breaker in any way.
honestly tomb raider if you have played on prev gen offers nothing new

I have it in my GameFly queue as I never played it for XB360, and am pretty excited to see what all the hype was about. Should play and look even better on the X1 =)

Yeah Titanfall has been in development for years now, so not surprised in the least that its 720p. I am talking about games going further beyond the launch window. Believe me, this 720p bickering is going to be ancient history soon. Guaranteed.

I say for those who use 720p against the X1, get all of it out of your system now because its going away soon.

Right now the devs can't even get Titanfall to 720p.
