Does CD playback work on the Xbox One?

I was hoping I could rip music on the 360 and have it as custom soundtrack like you could on the 360.

It does play CD's but you can no longer rip music to your HDD

Not like you would need to anyway. I don't even own the console, but if you aren't ripping the music on a PC and streaming that to the Xbox you're doing it wrong.

Last I heard though neither manufacturer wanted you to do that. I heard that Sony was going to patch in DLNA support later, so I would expect MS to follow suit.

You can already stream music from your computer to Xbox One.
