Your reaction: MS make backwards compatibility free on XB1, while Sony charges.

lol @ paywall. Most gamers will have XBL anyway, so it isn't really trapped behind anything. If you are getting a video game system just for offline games, the apps shouldn't matter. If you want to use Netflix, I'm pretty sure you have other options to access it. No one is putting a gun to your head to get Xbox Live.

what a silly statement

"no one's forcing you to get xbox live......unless you want to do literally anything except play single player games"

I like hypotheticals better when they at least have a sliver of possibility to them.

you might as well ask what peoples' reaction would be if microsoft gave out free xbox ones from now until the end of the console's life instead of selling them for $500.

This^

BC isn't remotely possible from a hardware standpoint. Game streaming, on the other hand...

It'll never happen, but if it did they'd definitely have something to shove in faces.

Looking at how bad Xbox emulation was on 360 and how they gave up after a few years, I would have no faith in backwards compatibilty on xbox one

My reaction? Indifference. I don't think microsoft would let that go for free too long. They would see the money they could get and end up charging for the games in the end anyway.

Won't bother me as I still have my Xbox 360 and PS3.

Not that MS will do anything for free though.

All of which are things you can do on your phone/pc/toaster/smartv etc. if you are buying a 360 for anything other than gaming you are a "silly" person.
