Crystal Dynamics executive producer Scot Amos mentioned that Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition will run at 30fps instead of 60fps the fans were hoping for. Tomb Raider had become profitably by the end of 2013.

How can you even call it the definitive edition then? :v I'm not naming names or anything, but maybe one of the two systems it was being released for wouldn't be powerful enough to run it at 60fps?

They say she's low down, but it's just a rumor I don't believe 'em.

Not on either system?

Either way I got the collectors edition for $6.50 on amazon ware house last week so I'll skip this for ps4/x1

30fps? Definitive? LOLOLOL

Minor graphical upgrades at best (if anyone cared enough it could probably be modded into the PC version), but a halved framerate? Good job CD. You gave me even less reason to buy it.

No one cares except anal-retentives. 30fps is fine, effects are more important.

This. 30 FPS is fine, and it looks damn good.

It was 30fps on 360 too and I didn't see anybody complaining then. This ridiculous fascination with framerate and resolution is really pathetic. Current gen consoles are not as powerful as high end PCs and people need to stop expecting they can spend $400-$500 and get something that looks as good as these games look at 1080p and a locked 60fps. It'll happen but not without compromises.

I don't know what's wrong with 30 fps on a console. When I was a PC gamer, it seemed that 30 fps was not good, but for consoles, it seems great to me.

Has anyone played Crysis 3? I could have sworn that game was 60 fps by how smooth it played. Playing Tomb Raider on the 360, I never stopped and thought my experience was being hindered by the fps being at 30.
