Well this confirms two things.

1. They don't ship faster than Sony (who shipped at least 4.2 million). So the whole "MS is just better at supplying" just went out the window.

2. The demand isn't the same as the PS4, because Sony definitely doesn't have a million PS4s sitting on shelves.

I bet you anything Sony has sold at least 500,000 units to retailers that haven't been sold through to consumers yet. These consoles don't magically appear in store shelves straight from the manufacturing plant.

They disappear as soon as they're in though, people still line up at Best Buys when new shipments come in, it's ridiculous. Sony have sold more consoles than MS have shipped. I guess we'll find out exactly how much are sitting on shelves when Sony's financial report comes in.
