Does it normally take half a god damn hour to install a game?

Popped in COD Ghosts 30 mins ago, only 34% installed.

Some other games would take a little bit of time too, but Jesus Christ this is ridiculous...

have you tried installing while disconnected from the net?

Its most likely the update thats making it take so long. I did it this way with ghost yesterday and it took about 15 minutes to install and 5 minutes after to install the update.

For some reason the game wants to download and instal the patches/updates before the rest of the game, and this slows the entire process down. Disconnecting from the Internet and just installing the game from the disc is much quicker. It still isn't too quick though.

And of course, if you went digital then you are at the mercy of the download process.

ALL games should have a Single Player mode. I can always guarantee I want to play when I turn on my system. I can't guarantee others will at the same time.
