From a life-long PC gamer. Fps matters. Resolution less.

frame rate has always been a major reason why i proffered pc to consoles. once you actually get a taste of 60fps its hard to go back.

1080p is the Holy Grail of HD resolution minus the XB1M13.

Fps trumps resolution always. While realistically it would be nice to have both, I would never choose 1080p at 30 fps over 720p at 60 fps. Frames per second have a more dramatic impact on how a game looks and plays both. I really hope developers this gen will strive harder for better frame rates even at the cost of higher resolution and textures.

I agree and thats why i was more interested in Ghosts on xbox then ps4.

Kind of surprised with everyone touting the "monster power" of the ps4 that it has multiple games at 30fps and it's big exclusive Infamous with all the time and optimization in the world can only do 30fps !

Kind of makes this whole console war thing kind if ridiculous. You really need a pc if that's your thing. Seems it's like 2 midgets arguing about who's taller ...

I am a life-long PC gamer too. I was playing PC games in the 80's. While I agree that FPS matter way more than resolution, its only when they are low that its an issue. Games that run between 30-60 frames are great.

If games were running at 10FPS or some abysmally low number, I could see an issue. No issue with 30+ though. People are acting like any framerate below 60 is worthless and that's not the case at all.

You are kidding. Resolution makes a HUGE difference to me. I can live with sub 60s but comparing 1080 720... it is obvious which is better.

I prefer 1080/30fps over 720/60fps. 900p/60fps is OK, but still looks noticeably more blurry.
