You need to open your ports: http://portforward.com/english/applications/port_forwarding/Xbox_One/

Thank you so much. I was able to revert back to instant on because of this and still have an open NAT.

I'm having this problem too. Currently on the website provided in the link, however I am about as tech savy as a caveman. What can I enter for static IP? Make up some numbers?

For the static ip just go to a much higher or lower number than it automatically assigns your xbox. For example if your xbox ip is 198.1.1.120 change the last 3 digits to 12. It reduces the chances of assigning it to a conflicted ip.

Thank you. Mrs is threatening consequences if by changing ip I balls up our internet and make it impossible for other devices to connect. Is this a risk?

When I play Forza5 online I keep getting a message on screen saying, "Weak Network Connection". I have all the Xboxone ports open, NAT type says Open. Speed test result:
Download speed 52.39 Mbps, Upload speed 3.48 Mbps, Download packet loss 0%, Upload packet loss 1%, MTU 1480, Latency 84 ms. From what I read on the ms help site my speed test results should be fine so why is Forza saying weak network connection?

No, it is part of the reason why you go higher or lower in the range of ips. Worst comes to worst you get a conflicting ip which can sort itself out by giving the device on automatic ip a new one.

Over the years I always see people forwarding ports. I've never had to do this. Get a better isp or a better router.

The problem is if your xbox switches ips you will run into the same problems again.

NAT has nothing to do with those settings.
