Is kinect mandatory?

Do I have to use kinect? If I do need to have it connected, could you just hide it behind the tv?

I believe it's required during setup (correct me if I'm wrong), after that you can chuck it back in the box if you wish.

Haven't tried it myself, but I think that you can just say "set up later".

Nope. Dont even have to take it out of the box.

Its not required during setup (you can press skip or set up later) and you definitely do not have to have it connected, regardless of whether you set it up or not.
