So I just got my Xbone and I'm having troubles.

#1Flamingace18Posted 2/1/2014 2:22:56 PM
Just got done installing and getting my account on there and then I tried to play NBA2k14 (Xbone version) and it said it needed an update.

I can't see the update and it says the game in installing. Except it's been at 0% for like ten minutes now.

No clue as to what to do.

All you can do is wait for the update, it should speed up at a certain point.

The Xbox One board should be renamed to the Official "Troll Here" board.

Downloads the update first and then installs. So the percentage will start climbing once the download is finished.

2k takes awhile before the full game is available so I'd find something to do to pass the time.

So I accidentally turned my xbox off when I bent down to pick up my phone. I then went ahead and just disconnected the ethernet cord in hopes of just installing it and then updating once I sign in to live.

Now it's just telling me the game is 'queued'.

Doesn't NBA have a required update that introduces DRM? If so that would explain it otherwise stop the install and start again w/o internet access

Yea now 2k has 2 queues to install now. At least it's at 1% and my xbone is making noises.

Also it says my kinect is unplugged, how do I fix that?

The install is going to take awhile. Just leave it be. The games are like 35 gigs each plus updates. BF4 took me about all night to install.

go into games and apps delete nba nk14 and reinsert the disc it well reinstall the game and redownload what it had downloaded of the update.

by default when you insert a game the xbox one will always download game patches before the start installing the game, the patch for nba 2k14 is like 2 gigs or so which is why the % of the install stays at 0 for so long.. if you want to install the game and download the patch later you need to disconnect the xbox one from your network before you insert the disc. that should keep it from checking online for an update and just install the game, but it will download the update the next time you sign into xbox live.

You can't change the background. At least not yet anyway. I don't know what's wrong with your kinect. Maybe you plugged it in to the wrong slot. My kinect isn't even plugged in (no room to put it anywhere) so I can't be much help.
