I'd say a half way decent PC and a Roku 3 is better for just Entertainment features.

Since you aren't into the games for X1 you'd have to be brain dead to own one... Why would you pay for Live every year just to have voice commands you can get with the right smart TV... You have to pay for live to get TV, Netflix, YouTube and anything else on the Internet with the exception of buying games from XB1.

Bad deal

Lol wut?

This was my exact reaction originally.

To be honest TC, it's a silly question.

Is it really? I have cable, netflix, Amazon Prime, HBO Go...and having to jump from the Apple TV to the cable box to the PS3 to access these different services is a big pain. One box that puts them all together with solid voice controls appeals to me.

Yes, it really is.

Yes. The TV entertainment features are the only reason to chose it over the competitors. Unless you love shooters to death. If so, Xbox is your gig. Good luck and have fun!

I would almost wonder if a Tivo Roamio would be a better purchase if you were looking at JUST the entertainment features, at least at this point in the game. I could be wrong, but personally I'm not that impressed with the TV stuff at this point. I love my X1, but I'm in it for the games. Maybe down the road.

Hell no you'd be better of building your own HTPC.

No one is going to be able to answer this but yourself.

It depends which features and apps really appeal to you to assess purchase value.

There are less expensive and arguably more elegant solutions but again, it depends on your needs and situation.
