I was browsing the web looking up info for CoD Zombies and I came across a deceitful website that infected my console. I have the web filtering and harmful website protection options enabled but I didn't receive any warnings and so my console was infected. So I chose the restore factory default option but the xbox didn't even erase all my info. Microsoft wasn't able to help besides suggesting that I send them my console for an exchange. Is that really my only option?

Call Xbox Customer Support and ask them about what to do. I've never heard of a case like this before and I'm sure they'd be interested to hear about it.

I did. It was the first they've ever heard of it too. The Microsoft customer support representative I spoke to on the phone said that she thinks my only option is to send it to them for an exchange. I made this topic to see if anyone knew of another option to clean my console.

Pretty sure that it's impossible to use those alternative browsers on the Xbox One. If you know how, pray tell.
