Do you guys really think a 6v6 online only game could be a system seller?

I think MS is still going backwards with their gaming ideas. Makes you wonder maybe the top execs are actually right about thinking of axeing the XB and just focus in their strong enterprise products.

I imagine most people who'd be interested in Titanfall already have a console or PC that can run it. Those that don't probably aren't that big into shooters anyway.

Troll topic aside, I honestly believe that it will not be a xbo system seller. Not when the game is on other more established platforms. Many people already have 360s and/or PCs. They will likely play the game on one of those. Not many people will drop $500 on a xbo for titanfall when they have cheaper options.

I'm buying an Xbox One for Titanfall, so it's not hypothetical. Titanfall is a system seller, I am proof of that. I also have a PS3 and a broken 360, and if I had a functional 360 I'd use that instead.

But in my case, I'm choosing between buying a $200 system on its way out, a $500 brand new system, or ~$750 upgrading my PC.

I bought a DS for Metroid Prime: Hunters. That's the only other system I've bought because of a single game.

Look at it this way, after the initial buyers there are those waiting for tax returns or disposable income and those on the fence waiting for that one game.
Titanfall is an incentive to make the jumps to next gen for all of those.

TF is running on the Source engine; a shoebox could play it. If your PC was made in the last 5 or 6 years then you can run it just fine even at 1080p.

I think those with the Xbox One already that want this game will enjoy it for all that it is despite what it is lacking but..

I don't think there's a lot of people who are going to buy a $500 console just to play 1 relatively unproven game.

A10-6800K. Yeah, I know I bought a horrible processing unit at the end of a socket's lifetime. Don't remind me.
