The board regulars will find another thing to feel like a victim over. Persecution complexes don't go away easily.

In reality though, it probably won't ever run 1080p consistently. If 1080p60fps is so "overrated", why wouldn't you want developers to keep pushing forward with more and more eye candy, necessitating lower resolution targets?

It'll never be on equal footing to PS4.
I can guarantee you that.

And have less world-wide support yet again like every other MS console so it's not really on equal footing.

I've been lurking on these boards for the past few weeks and I still do not understand the obsession with 1080p and 60FPS. What I want to know is what are the fanboys going to talk about when Xbox catches up and games released on it are 1080p and 60fps? Now that developers have received a faster SDK from MS it's just a matter of time before 1080p and 60fps becomes the norm on XboxOne. For example, Rebellion Games senior producer Jean-Baptiste Bolcato has stated that "[Microsoft] are releasing a new SDK thatís much faster and we will be comfortably running at 1080p on Xbox One. We were worried six months ago and we are not anymore, itís got better and they are quite comparable machines.Ē He also explained that while the XboxOne is less powerful, something nobody can dispute, it is possible to develop games that play at 1080p and 60fps thanks to tiling. Basically you can squeeze 6GB of textures into 32mb of RAM. So, what will we be talking about when Xbox closes that door and gets on equal footing?

Then the other console will have an advantage on another thing, now think something, what happens when the other console will struggle with 720 30 fps because graphics are tood good, what will happen to xbox one?, will pass that game?

They'll find something else to criticize, I'm guessing the Kinect will then be the point of focus.

Like the $100 difference price tag on the (hypothetically) equal quality of the PS4 and Xbox One.

Things that were once inconsequential or overlooked will become Hitler Cancer to take that "issue's" place.

Meanwhile, the once-game-changing, arbitrarily completely crucial 1080p thing will be dismissed as "nyeh, whatever" - because if it's not a 1up on the competition, it seems to have never mattered.
