This topic is funny. TC doesn't know what he is talking about. He should learn how the hardware actually works before posting.

The CPU and the RAM are slower on the XBOX ONE too.

Man that is embarrassing. And all the fools who bought into the cloud bull s*** hype, I am truly sorry for you. Even if you're an xb1 troll and your only goal is to annoy people.

It is all about 720p now.

1080p/60fps is not that great

The CPU is actually the exact same in both, but clock speeds. PS4 1.4ghz to XO 1.6ghz. Both use the same core.

It also looks like devs are coming out about the new SDK. XO can do 1080p comfortably. Bink video also said that the PS4 was only slightly more powerful in terms of GPU then the XO.

How is something embarrassing when the console has even hit 3 months? Did you honestly expect them to use this type of system of the bat? Common sense should kick in. Cloud is already being used to boost performance on PC stuff and Nvidia Grid. It exists, it can happen. Is MS ready to roll it out yet? No.

The PS4 CPU speeds where never revealed, but according to some benchmark tests and a developer, it's actually faster than the xbox CPU:

http://gamingbolt.com/substance-engine-increases-ps4-xbox-one-texture-generation-speed-to-14-mbs-12-mbs-respectively

I think you misread the second article:

The last part is especially interesting, because it indicates the PlayStation 4 is faster than the Xbox One’s GPU for this particular instance.

It's talking about the difference when using Bink video, not about the actual power difference between both GPUs.

It's embarrassing for the people who actually believed all the talk about the "power of the cloud".

It's not going to happen, because this would mean half of the people won't be able to make use of it due to bandwidth/latency issues.

Making a game that requires a constant broadband internet connection means cutting in your potential customers.

Theoretically, it's possible, but it's not actually going to make any real impact in this consoles lifespan.
