Want proof that resolution doesn't matter as much as some of you seem to think?

Killzone Shadow Fall MP runs at 960x1080. So if Titanfall runs at the same resolution as in the beta (792p) it will technically be rendering more pixels than Killzone.

No, the issue is people not wanting the best quality and settling for less.

But if it doesn't matter, why are you arguing about it?

Anyways, that entire article is written towards PC gamer, and titanfall isnt even mentioned in the article, unless Im missing something.

Doesn't KZ Shadowfall run at 60fps on Multiplayer and 30fps on Singleplayer?

Yep, I didn't knew this until now. KZ is a boring game at a lower res, not 1080p

Some people seem to take resolution as the ultimate factor in determining overall visual fidelity. I don't think anyone will argue that Titanfall looks better than Killzone, but Killzone runs at the lower resolution. Proof positive that resolution is not as important as all the "lol720p" trolls seem to think.

Congrats on not actually reading any of that. First of all, the main game is full 1080p, secondly the MP is using a clever interlace technique that they clearly say give a full 1080p image, just over 2 frame buffers. That is different to it actually being a lower realised resolution.

The fact that few have actually noticed that any upscale at all is in place speaks to its quality, and we can almost certainly assume that this effect is not cheap from a computational perspective

They "target" 60fps. In reality it fluctuates quite a bit and averages around 50.

It renders at 960x1080 and uses the previous frame to fill in the missing pixels. Totally not full 1080p.

'wah! resolution doesn't matter!'

I really feel sorry for the few of you on this board who continue to foolishly make an issue out of this. You can't win this 'argument'. Ever. It's the equivalent of trying to convince others (or perhaps yourselves) that the number 10 is less than the number 5.

And the fact that you keep trying just makes it more embarrassing for the lot of you.

You have talking points when it comes to exclusives or controllers or online offerings....but not 720 vs 1080. Give that up guys.....and start earning some dignity back.

:D
