Good to know Xbone devs are wasting their time chasing delusions that will never become reality. What the hell is going on over there? Did they hire a bunch of monkeys to work there?

The 90 min carmack video is worth it. Trust me. You will feel smarter =)
Grab a snack or something.

Then the newly educated board will argue about lighting models and physics as well as 720p.

http://www.gamespot.com/articles/xbox-one-could-get-photorealistic-rendering-system-for-amazing-visuals/1100-6418060/

The Xbox One could one day make use of a powerful rendering technique called "real-time ray-tracing," an advanced system used to achieve photorealistic lighting effects. Microsoft Studios executive Phil Spencer has confirmed that internal tests are already underway.

he doesn't know what he's talking about. But Carmack does. You need more than "realistic lighting" to achieve "photo realistic graphics". "Ray tracing" has been around for years, especially on PC. John Carmack went into high detail in a long presentation at Quake con in 2013.

Here it is, if you have 90 minutes to soak this in later. Bethesda warns this is extremely technical as well. So prepare your brains. I forgot at which point he talks about ray tracing. You'll have to watch all of it lol.

you seriously need to learn how to read.

So this is going to happen

No Internet: Game looks like crap because no reflections
Okay Internet: Games look okay
High Quality Internet: best reflections

Reality due to Comcast and Verizon making net neutrality invalid
Majority of Xbox One gamers get crappy or okay looking games.

I see no reason why we can't store those hours on the cloud.
