XBox One as PVR?

My Topfield PVR is starting to play up so I decided to buy a new one. A friend suggested to get XBox One instead. How good XBox One as a PVR? How does it compares to Topfield?

You can't use it as a PVR.

No.
It can control your pvr if you have a cable box with a pvr
It can't do it itself. It can record gameplay though, however in 30 second increments.* I think 30 seconds. *

All is correct, but the Game DVR goes up to 5 mins

The "xbox record that" command does the last 30 seconds. You can do up to the last 5 minutes using the game dvr, and when Twitch broadcasting starts you'll be able to archive pretty much any length you want.
