Microsoft is betting it can sell more Xbox Ones on the strength of an online multiplayer game called Titanfall, which will be released only for its consoles on March 11. “It’s hard to overstate the importance of Titanfall to the Xbox One release this year,” says Yusuf Mehdi, chief marketing and strategy officer for Microsoft’s devices and studios. “For us, it’s a game changer. It’s a system seller.”

Console makers that log big monthly sales typically report them; Microsoft hasn’t so far in 2014.

So Microsoft basically says they're betting on titanfall to save the x1s low sales numbers.

Will it be able to do so?

Yeah, except most of those sales came at launch and sales dropped dead afterwards, which is not a good thing.

Being behind 2:1 with the PS4 in their home territory doesn't exactly help either.

Yes, in relation to the xbox one.

What's your point?
You haven't addressed the topic at all.

Is it that hard to stay on topic? Did you not take your Ritalin today?

Except you're not MS

MS made what, 400mil profit off 360 last year or something like that was passed around.
They spent 100mil buying the Gears IP
Probably 25-100mil for TitanFall
100mil on the new controller
Rough guess 250mil - 1bil+ on advertising the xboxone
1 billion on new IPs
The repair costs of replacing xboxone units+ S&H

They are definitely backwards on profit again, and MS is undoubtedly not happy with only the 3mil in sales.

No you didn't, you made a (successful) attempt to derail the topic.
Which is what you always do when confronted with facts that you don't like.

So, will Titanfall save the xbox?
Will it enable an extra 500k console sales, as one analyst predicts?

Will Microsoft finally be able to announce their sales numbers instead of hiding them?
