Did anyone buy the Microsoft-branded stereo headset

It's really not that bad in my opinion but my reference point is probably deficient. Sound quality is solid. Not high-end quality but probably about what you'd expect for the price. The fit is comfortable. I like how the microphone flip out from the left-side head band. You could rock these as normal headphones without looking stupid.

The only thing I'm not liking is how they make a slight popping sound when the controller is charging. I thought I had a defective unit, but as soon as I unplugged the controller the sound was great. Does this happen with yours?

The only thing I notice when plugged into the system via USB is that the sound "clicks" off for a moment then comes back. I'm guessing that is due to the controller going over to wire from wireless. Same deal happens when you unplug it.

COD has great headset quality but 2K is iffy at times. I think that is a software issue. 2k is a POS this year.

also it is not surround sound like sony's 7.1 , I bought the adapter and am using my Sony gold headset but I was going to return the adapter and buy the x1 headset to get the surround sound but someone said it is only stereo sound there is no surround sound if that's the case then it is pointless because my Sony one does the same thing for me on the x1.
