so i just plug it into a wall when i am not sure if it's even grounded? the surge protector i use has a light telling me if it is grounded and i really have to mess with the surge protector till it says it is grounded.

the surge protector i have beeps every time i get a power surge. i get them so often i'm used to the sound.

that's good but the thing is if you tell ms this and your console breaks you are screwed or you will have to fight with the person on the phone to get it fixed for free. i'm wondering if they now have a way with xbox one to tell if you use a surge protector or not? ms has been damn stubborn about this whole thing going on since 360 launch.

you'd think both ms and sony would learn from their mistakes yet both the one and ps4 have some of the same bs problems their older systems had.

Uh, then don't tell them you had it plugged in to a surge protector...

I have used a surge protector for every system as far back as I can remember. No problems with the system or Microsoft customer support.
