Anybody remember in November/December when review scores were important

and used to show that the Xbox One's games were simply better than the PS4's games because they had higher numbers next to their name

And now that Titanfall's "only" getting an average score of about 87 or so, the number is meaningless because games are fun anyway

87 is still respectable, considering how few games get 10s.
I HATE seeing incorrect information, regardless of whether it is my preferred system.

In what world is 87/100 average? That's excellent.

Been this way for awhile now.
The ball is round, the game lasts 90 minutes. That's fact.
Everything else, is theory.

Funny enough there was a poll here not too long ago on what score you'd think titanfall would get overall. Majority voted between 85-90. Very few people voted higher or lower than that.

I don't remember this at all. The only game to get a 90+ on either system is Rayman Legends. Tomb Raider is pretty much the next highest scoring game which is a last gen port. The scores look pretty mediocre on both systems and I think games have come down to personal preferences. So, yeah, not so much.

And on top of that, when looking at MP only games I see that Titanfall's score is "currently" around the range of Left 4 Dead which I thought was a fantastic game. I'd be shocked to see an MP only game getting 10's across the board, but I'm also shocked that GTA4 and 5 pretty much ran the table. You'd literally have to pay me at least 20 dollars an hour to play a GTA game, but to each their own.

It's a double standard with fanboys, let me explain.

If a game (exclusive or not) they hype gets a average score of 7's and 8's it's okay and still a awesome game because it sold a X amount of copies.

If a game (exclusive or not) they hype sells only about 3-4 million it's okay and still a awesome game because it got 9's and 10's so boo hoo na na na.

I hope that helped, thank you for your cooperation.

Anyone actually keep track of what random people post on forums just so they can call them on it months or years later?

Me neither.

If you do, I am sorry.
the bitter truth is that in the grand scheme of things, the average piece of junk is probably more meaningful than our criticism designating it so. ~ Anton Ego

27 reviews on metacritic 15 of them are 90 or higher... 11 are 80 or higher, and only 1 is a 70.
