Problems with Microsoft headset adapter. Can't hear chat.

So I picked up the Microsoft headset adapter to use with my old Turtle Beach headset.
I tried is out with Plants vs Zombies and could not hear chat.
Played this morning with Titanfall....same thing.

My headset has the separate adjustable volume for both game and chat.
So does the adapter.

I have tried a lot of things, can't figure it out.

So I am hoping to fond dome help here.
I really hope this is not a broken adapter.

I did the controller update.

Any ideas?

The chat and game volume are NOT separately adjustable, you pick the balance you want. You can go 50/50 game/chat or 80/20 game/chat or whatever. The + and - buttons adjust the total volume coming to the headset. My guess is you hit the game button too many times and muted the chat.

Mine are the Ear Force X11. Not on the list.
Would have been awesome if that list were available before I bought the adapter.
