Tell me why Xbox One is worth the $200 more over Wii U

Both systems offer something to any real gamer, but both systems have a lot of flaws and are priced a bit high relative to what they offer as well. I don't see the point in Nintendo and MS fans fighting, you've got plenty in common.

Considering the Wii-U is a device Nintendo designed to be front and center and integrated into the living room with various channels and programs, it's baffling that Nintendo still refuses to include DVD functionality in the system.

What.
Literally confusing Nintendo with Microsoft.

The Wii U is practically the Xbox 360 under the hood with a gamepad. Thats why.

Holy s*** can you people just stop?

Goddamn, black PR is way too effective.

Does that change what nintendo relies on? No... nintendo relies on mario/dk/zelda to do the majority of its sales.

How does this matter for the consumer? Their best selling titles are how they make money? Well gee, I should hope that's how it works.

Why would those sales numbers matter to you? Does it matter for the consumer that Halo and Gears were among Microsoft's best selling titles last gen?

All multiplats are better on other consoles.

And those are all better on PC. No point in buying the other consoles since their libraries are nothing but multiplats that are superior on PC, right?

You mention Most Wanted but wheres Rivals? You mention several WiiU games that were last gen XB/PS.

"no multiplats"
"b-but those don't count!"

Pathetic.

It's not worth $200 more IMO, especially cause the Wii U's game library currently blows the X1's out of the water. This could change in the future but as of now the Wii U has a great lineup.

No I'm not. Nintendo offers all these added "channels" for checking various things as well as other services and functions like being able to control your tv with the Wii-U gamepad. Maybe I miss-stated and have their messages mixed up, where MS wants to integrate completely and seamlessly with a users living room, while the Wii-U wants to integrate, but not take it over. But the Wii-U is designed to integrate to some extent with the living room.

I still think it's baffling that Nintendo still refuses to include DVD functionality with the system.

Same here. On G4 I remember Adam Sessler calling the GC the Macintosh of consoles, lmao. >_< I did enjoy F Zero a lot. the GC wasn't completely awful, I actually put in hours on it, but I ended up donating it to good will once I got a 360. I hope that the goodwill employees didn't take it home. I used to work for Goodwill when I was 17 I believe, and the manager and I would take stuff. I felt donating the GC to Goodwill was the right thing to do, because of that.

I would pick one up if was $200 or less, but from business perspective I think it's really unlikely. Nintendo is already losing money on the system, I know they cut their sales forecast by over 75%, but I still don't see them cutting the price on it. Especially before games like bayonetta 2, Mario Kart and SSM are launched, which could help them move systems.

I would say if none of those titles helps to move a significant number of systems, then we could see Nintendo cut the price of the system, but I don't think we'll see one before hand, unless a a new rumored system pans out.
