MS probably won't do the same because they want to sell more consoles. To me, $50 isn't a big difference. I don't see why someone would switch consoles over a matter of principle because the PS4 is still cheaper. Although, I have read some pretty funny things on the PS4 boards over this.

The prices on Xbox One games also have gone up, that's not purely happening to PS4 games. Don't be surprised if the Xbone also increases in price soon, in fact if you want to get one? Probably best to buy it soon, before the price increases.

The Xbox1 will likely go up as in price as well. Microsoft is losing $50 extra for each Xone sold in Canada, while Sony is losing $40.

The only question is when, because that loss is only going to continue to grow

$0.90 US is $1 Canadian

$400 x 0.9 = $360
$500 x 0.9 = $450

Price of PS4 and Xone games in Canada are now $70 at Gamestop

How do you know that Sony or Microsoft is losing money on each console sold though?

He just means compared to what they were making before. With the lower dollar they are simply making less off each system. This could very easily mean both are now being sold for a loss since both were apparently not making much profit off each sale.

They could've had these prices from the beginning. But they decided to bait and switch.
