720p VS 1080p Doesn't bother me

Why do people emphasise a games resolution so much? It doesn't effect the gameplay, i've actually seen people claim they're not buying a game because it's only 720p. It's ridiculous, how did these people cope in gamings early days? I understand some of the ps4 vs xbone arguments. Why have 720p games when you can have 1080p games. Makes sense. But it's the exclusives that should sell the system, not the resolution.

Wii U and PC owner. Don't have either an Xbone or PS4

People don't like paying $100 more to get less performance. It's not so much the gameplay being effected, it's the principle. There's no damage controlling this. Paying more for less just doesn't wash.

If Platinum was HAND drawn, she'd be on paper, fool. This is a video game. They just made her on screen, no "drawing" involved -Delano7 on BlazBlue

No kidding, its a strange business strategy too but several million people bought into it.

1080p like it or not should be the standard no matter how you spin it the fact an 8th generation Consoles struggles to do what PC 's have done for almost 10 years says a lot about its under cooked Hardware .

I'm sure that if the Xbone was pushing out 1080p most of the time while the PS4 was stuck at 720p you'd suddenly start taking offense to 720p.

They say she's low down, but it's just a rumor I don't believe 'em.

Heard them talking about it on an IGN podcast and apparently the problem is with the fancy RAM in the X1 and devs not knowing how to fully utilize it.The guy they were talking to said within a year the whole Ps issue will not be a problem, its just since the system is new is the problem.

Take that for what you will but its not a big issue with me personally. The missing Ps is mainly only good for fueling the nerd wars right now.

I'm not a Wii U and PC owner, not PS4 or Xbone.

People who only own the Xbox One will not care that much about the resolution issue because they will not notice a difference if they go out and play the same game somewhere else on PS4, but people that own both consoles and play the same game one after another can clearly make out the difference between 720p and 1080p, but then again it's a mute argument because if you own both consoles you will clearly purchase the superior version.

Wii u has some 1080p games

Zelda ww

Monster hunter

Rayman

Deus ex human revolution

Everything else is upscaled same as xbone.

Resolution matters a bit, but its diminishing returns.

The jump between SD and hd was huge, you'll never see a jump like that again. Same with n64 to gamexubr, massive jump.

I own both new systems and don't care. Maybe because I remember playing duck hunt on my NES hooked up to my 15" tube tv via a coax cable. I just appreciate a good game system.
